Brent Musburger Shares My Romo Criticism

If you’ve read my blog posts throughout the years, you know I’m a big Brent Musburger guy. I enjoyed him until he finished up last season, and Saturday nights are still not the same. Chris Fowler is okay, but he’s almost too polished out there. Fowler doesn’t have the Al Michaels-Musburger feel to the game. In fact, Rece Davis is much more suited for that role than his College Gameday spot. Anyways, Musburger shared his thoughts on Tony Romo, and they matched much of what I said yesterday in the blog. Glad to know I have Uncle Brent on my side.
.@brentmusburger finally got a chance to watch a game with Tony Romo in the broadcast booth. What did you think, Brent? (Hint: Not a fan.) pic.twitter.com/N4UlWjLxbB

Musburger is the first media-type to call out Romo, but I think it’s fair for what he’s requesting the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback to do. There were countless times where Romo talked over Jim Nantz, and other situations where he kept talking to fill space when it was not needed. Musburger made a great point about Romo losing sight of the personnel stuff as he continues to be farther way from the game. I hope Uncle Brent reaches out to Romo though and sends him feedback directly. He has enough kache to do that type of thing.
Not being alone with a spicy hot take is a beautiful feeling.
Charlie.
