Brewers Fans Were NOT HAPPY With the Virtual Sausage Race
American Family Field opened its doors for the first time since it was called Miller Park back in 2019. Milwaukee had its fans in the stands, and it was awesome. Simply put, it was great to see a stadium with fans. Despite the lowering numbers (I know it’s on the rise at the moment, it’s fine, look at Isreal), I didn’t expect every stadium to have fans in attendance. But in fact, every stadium will be allowing fans in the stands. The Brewers fans were rowdy and the players were vibing off the crowd. Josh Hader didn’t hit 100 last year with an empty stadium. One thing that didn’t return to American Family Field was the racing sausages. They went virtual which led to LOUD boos from the Opening Day faithful.

A couple of things here… One, the Opening Day crowd is full of drunks. Everyone in that crowd that is 18 or older had at least three beers if not more. When you drink more, you boo more, it’s fucking science. Second, do people forget that at County Stadium, it was all virtual? They used this pixelated sausages racing on their version of JumboTron. It’s hilarious how loud these boos were and I already saw one Big J act like Brewers’ fans were spoiled. Relax dude, these were drunk people who didn’t want to bet on a virtual sausage race. It happens.
My guess is as they continue to expand the people in the stadium, the sausages will return.
