FOX Sports ran a contest before the baseball season trying to find the ‘Best fans in baseball.’ It was all driven by social media. Milwaukee Brewers won the contest, and now as part of it, the Brewers can put a billboard up in an opposing city letting them know they have the best fans. The social media account for the Brewers put up a poll asking the fans where the billboard should go. Chicago is going to end up taking home the crown here, but the vote should really go to St. Louis. That is easily the best move from a troll perspective and something that would drive Cardinals fans absolutely crazy.

Here’s the thing about Chicago. While it’s fun and always a good time to needle Cubs fans, there are White Sox fans in the city too. There is no rivalry with the Chicago White Sox, although, in the 80s the teams hated each other guts. And yes, Tony La Russa is there which is one of the personal rivals that Brewers fans have. Still, there is not much juice with the White Sox and Brewers. That’s why St. Louis is so much better of a choice. Everyone is a Cardinals fan. They think they’re the best fans in baseball. It would get under everyone’s skin and ultimately be very funny. Oh well.

Cool to see the Brewers have that active of a social media following to take home this crown.
