Bucks Are Ready To Move On From Bledsoe, Will They Find a Suitor That Works?
Eric Bledsoe is on the trade block. Hell, this post might become stale in a few hours. Who the fuck knows what is going to happen between now until Wednesday. I feel like it is a pure rollercoaster. The NBA seems ready to do a line of cocaine heading into the NBA Draft. Then after it, it will go into free agency and who the hell knows. The trade moratorium ended a few minutes ago, and the Milwaukee Bucks are already trying to trade Eric Bledsoe. The news came out that Milwaukee not only tried to move Bledsoe to Los Angeles but also tried to trade for Dennis Schroder.
The Lakers had explored a deal for Milwaukee’s Eric Bledsoe, league sources told @SInow. A Schroder trade would remove that from consideration. If completed, Lakers would be armed with a young, versatile guard coming off his most complete NBA season.

The writing was already on the wall for Bledsoe and now it’s there. If Bucks could have gotten the 28th pick and Danny Green for Bledsoe, that would have been a coup. But it didn’t happen because the Lakers opted for the younger, more talented Schroder. And he looks a lot like Bledsoe. Their games are similar. Bledsoe might be a better defender, but Schroder is much more athletic and probably a better scorer. This scares me a bit. Will a team with actual assets want to take on Bledsoe? He is old (31 years old), makes 16 million, and showed struggles in the playoffs. NBA teams always cease to amaze us though so maybe this is an overreaction, Bledsoe’s scars might be too much for some teams.
Sources: The Bucks pursued a trade with the Thunder for Dennis Schroder and were deep in trade negotiations last week. Ultimately, the Lakers landed Schroder. Now the Bucks must move on to other targets. Eric Bledsoe remains the player Milwaukee is dangling most in trade talks.

As for the Bucks looking at Schroder, this is surprising, to say the least. What part of Schroder makes him an upgrade over Bledsoe? He is more athletic? He’s younger? They’re very similar players plus Mike Budenholzer and Schroder didn’t get along when they were together in Atlanta. Is this a smokescreen by Milwaukee to make it known they’re looking for suitors right now? Or something else. I guess will have to wait and see what happens here. Jon Horst has a plan.
NBA is about to get crazy so hold on to your butts.
