Bucks Clean Up At First Annual NBA Awards
Milwaukee Bucks had themselves a good night from an NBA Awards perspective. Not so much in other areas, but we’ll talk about that tomorrow. Malcolm Brogdon took home Rookie of the Year, and Giannis Antetokounmpo was the Most Improved Player. These are two awards that show the future is bright and here for the young Bucks who started on this journey last season.
Awards are not always the true signal of success, but at times, they can be a nod into where a team is headed. Brogdon winning Rookie of the Year when so many other greats have won that award in the past. He might not be at LeBron James level, but former Virginia star deserves a ton of respect by the rest of the league. There were hundreds of Joel Embiid fanboys, but they were all silenced by Milwaukee.
The Most Improved Player can be a sign that a player is ready to be a superstar. Giannis is already there, but he’s become a must-see player when he’s in your town. The best thing about Bucks game in the last year is you never know what you are going to get when Antetokounmpo took the floor. It’s a great honor for Bucks superstar who will be vying for bigger awards in the future such as MVP.
Brogdon and Antetokounmpo are the start of the future, and now, it’s time for Bucks to make some real noise in the league.
