BucksCap: Bucks Are NBA Jam ‘On Fire’ Right Now
In the last two games, Milwaukee won by 41 and 44 points. No, they were not playing college teams. Even if the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks find themselves in the high lottery this June, these are still impressive wins. There are countless examples this season where a bad team keeps it close versus an elite team. Not the Bucks right now. They’re dominating the league with an 18-3 record and a 12-game winning streak. This game felt over from the start as Milwaukee jumped out to an 18-point lead after one quarter.
Player of the Game: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Great game for Giannis with 29 points, 15 rebounds in 22 minutes. He could not be stopped with the New York Knicks’ copious amounts of power forwards. A couple of things to like about Antetokounmpo’s night – He made three 3-pointers and only missed four shots from the field. The only knock is he missed five throws. Antetokounmpo playing only 22 minutes is key too. This is a version of load management for Milwaukee.
Honorable Mention: D.J. Wilson – What a night for Deej! He had 19 points in 24 minutes. This is a career-high performance for Wilson who made a statement out there. Wilson is making a case to get more minutes with the Bucks. Perhaps with the Sterling Brown injury, Bucks will utilize Wilson more often. He looked fantastic tonight. And threw down one of the best dunks of the season.

One Thing I Liked: Bucks kept the Knicks from launching the deep ball – Milwaukee has not been good at stopping the three-pointer all year. It is a major issue for them. But they did very well against New York. Now, it’s the Knicks. But still, it is encouraging to see them keep the Knicks from only shooting 25% from deep.
Next up: Milwaukee takes on Detroit on Wednesday night in the Motor City. Bucks get fortunate again with the Pistons playing tonight, thus, it is a back-to-back game against Milwaukee. Odds are they will not have Blake Griffin for this one which if that’s the case, it could be another big win.
