ChallengeCap: Dee Doesn’t Step Up To the Plate
If you missed us last week, this is the ChallengeCap. We’re going to be recapping The Challenge like an actual sporting event. I don’t think that’s an issue considering there are no sports to be played at the moment. If you’re not watching The Challenge for some reason, you’re doing it wrong. The first two episodes have been electric. We are starting to see teams form, and with a new twist, people are making sure no one throws challenges.
Rate this episode: 8.5/10 – We’re never going to get the excitement of the first episode, but to follow it up with a good episode is appreciated. Most times you’ll see this show follow up an awesome opener with an absolute dud for the second episode. That did not happen here. We had a good Challenge where they busted out helicopters and ammo buckets. There was good drama between Jenn with two n’s and Dee. Also, Dee refusing to work with Jordan and Tori will become a thing.
How did the Power Rankings hold up?: I’ve underrated Jenny yet again – For the second straight week, we have the same topic. Jenny won one of the parts of the Challenge then eliminated Jen with two N’s earning a red skull to have the ability to compete for the final. Dee deciding not to go in the ring says a lot to me. Cory deserves to be bumped up towards 12-15. He won this week’s Challenge and was in the tribunal last week. Cory is playing the game well early on. That isn’t surprising, but we know he will fall apart soon.
One Thing I Liked: Wes and Johnny troll Jen with two n’s out of the game – The fact that these two guys fucked with this girl for nothing is very funny. They tried to stir the pot. It didn’t cause a fight. But Jenn could not handle it at all. She likely hasn’t given a speech in some time. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was her first one ever. Leading with ‘greeting earthlings’ is a tough look.
One Thing I Didn’t Like: Dee tries way too hard and crumbles – There is no proof of what I’m about to say but here we go. Whenever a Challenge competitor does third or fourth season, they tend to get very big-headed. All of a sudden, they feel more connected to the show and want to be a bigger part of it. Dee tried exactly that yesterday.
What to watch next week: It’s a guy’s elimination day. Does one of the heavy hitters step in the elimination to earn a red skull? We also have our first night out in Prague too.
