Your Final Four Cheering Guide

The Final Four is upon us on Saturday night. This is really the main event of college basketball even though the championship games have been far better than the Final Four itself. We haven’t had a Final Four with two games within 10 points since 2013. These four teams could be ready for some close battles on Saturday in the Valley of the Sun. The question is if you’re going to a party this weekend, and you are a Marquette or Wisconsin fan, who do you cheer for? Let’s find out.
Fan of the mid-major, west coast and big Polish beards
Answer: Gonzaga – There are a lot of things to like about the Zags. Mark Few doesn’t need a championship to justify his coaching career, but he would be the first coach out of the major conference to a win title since UNLV in 1990. Gonzaga has a fun bunch who loves to play defense and slow it down so this might be a good spot for Badgers fans. Jordan Matthews can start raining from threes and of course, Prizmek Karnowski is a beautiful creature to watch inside.
Fan of Puddles, Giannis and college hoops Mutombo
Answer: Oregon – Ducks are a fun team. Like really really fun. Dillon Brooks, Tyler Dorsey and Jordan Bell have created quite the Big Three in the month of March with Chris Boucher being sidelined with a knee injury. Dorsey hit every big shot in March Madness, and there have been plenty of them. Jordan Bell played like an absolute machine and altered the game entirely. If you’re look for maybe who plays the best basketball, it’s Oregon. But if you remember Dana Altman kind of sucks, yeah maybe not.
Fan of athletic defense and a star in the making plus the true Cinderella
Answer: South Carolina – They’re the Cinderella of this tournament making an improbable run from the seven seed to Final Four. They were told around the Sweet 16 that South Carolina couldn’t win outside its state and won two games. Now, they’ll try for a Final Four victory. Frank Martin is in a dream season with Gamecocks. I’ve doubted South Carolina all tournament, and I’ll continue with this… These type of runs usually lead to a smackdown in the National Semifinals, I bet Zags.
Fan of the Ceiling Is The Roof
You already know what you’re getting with North Carolina… A storied team with a bunch of great players coached by one of the best in the business. Justin Jackson is a phenomenal player to watch. Same goes for Joel Berry who plays old man game out there. North Carolina easily has the best athletes left and for good reason, they should be the favorite for the weekend.
