Former Brewer Scooter Gennett Has Four-Homer Game
Scooter Gennett was a fan favorite here in Milwaukee to a special kind of group of Brewers fans. People who knew the game weren’t really sad to see him go. Others who like gritty white guys and enjoyed seeing a scrappy white guy get some time over Rickie Weeks did not. Gennett did not last in Spring Training because likely, Eric Sogard played better in March and was willing to start in Colorado Springs. He landed in Cincinnati and came up big for the team tonight with a four-homer game.

It’s an incredible feat for any player, and I honestly love it’s someone of Scooter’s magnitude even if national baseball writers will fall over themselves to talk about the former Brewer. I also love it happened against Adam Wainwright and St. Louis Cardinals. Brewers fans shouldn’t fret that Scooter will suddenly become an All-Star from this game. He really struggled prior to it, and Gennett is a bench player for Reds whose getting more time due Scott Schleber being out.
I’ll not try to shit on Gennett’s moment, and it’s seriously cool yet Brewers fans shouldn’t rush to make any hot takes from it. Don’t think Jonathan Villar should have been replaced due to one big game from the former Brewers second baseman.
