If There’s Brewers Baseball, Bob Uecker Will Be Calling It

Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio spoke with a webinar with the Greater Milwaukee Committee. He said some things about baseball this season that we will talk about later today. But one of the things he did say is that Brewers will figure out a way for Bob Uecker to call their baseball games. Uecker is 86 years old, and he is in the trouble zone for COVID-19. There is a real worry for Uecker to call baseball games and be out and about. Attanasio made it known that they could make it happen in any way possible.
Attanasio: I’m working on a way to get Bob Uecker in the ballpark (safely) no matter what.

Uecker is the man. I’ve said before that I’m going to cry when Uecker heads to hang out with Andre The Giant. That still holds true. The man is part of the fabric of Brewers baseball. He is the guy that the Brewers need to win a World Series for. Not the players, not the owners, but Uecker. The Brewers broadcaster has seen it all during his time with the Brewers. There is nothing better than driving in your car with your windows down on a sunny day, Brewers are up 10-2 and Uecker is telling some random story not related to the game at all.
