Markus Howard Goes OFF For 52 Points
Currently, I’m watching the Marquette game on DVR. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever watched on DVR honestly. That’s not hyperbole as Marquette Golden Eagles point guard Markus Howard went bananas tonight with 52 points on 11 threes as Marquette won 95-90 in an impressive overtime victory. It’s amazing to see this kind of effort from Howard considering he sort of struggled in his first two games of the Big East season. This is a pretty amazing night to be a Marquette Golden Eagle fan.

Howard blew up in the national spotlight tonight and put some much welcomed attention on Marquette. Golden Eagles led SportsCenter on the night that Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics played. Yes, Howard beat out LeBron versus Kyrie. Think about that for a second. Also consider the fact, he didn’t really get going until the second half. Markus only had 10 points at halftime. 10! The CBS Sports announcers were critical of him in the first half – “Markus Howard is really struggling.” Steve Lappas said “I think the perimeter size of Providence is frustrating Howard.” That’s a crazy second half. We’ll have more on this game tomorrow morning.
