Matt Patricia Is Not A Fan of Jersey Swaps So He Traded Darius Slay

Matt Patrica might be my least favorite coach in the National Football League. Losing to him last year stunk on ice. When he coached for the New England Patriots, it seemed like he was a normal guy who didn’t like Roger Goodell. Like the idea of Patrica being anti-establishment. But then when he became the head boss, Patrica turned out to be a real prick. Everything he does is cringy and uncomfortable. The Lions coach had a terrible interview with Pardon My Take where he came off horribly. Multiple run-ins with the press. And the players do not like him. The latest news out of Lions land is he did not appreciate Darius Slay swapping jerseys with guys after games. In fact, he despised it.
Pardon my French, but what the fuck?

Imagine being this much of a man child. Patrica looks horrible here. How are teams still run like this in 2020? Sometimes, we can take the player empowerment thing too far, but to be so anti-players in the year 2020 feels weird to me. Slay was one of the best corners in football, and now, he is in Philadelphia. Slay should have no problem fitting in with the Eagles culture that is vastly different than what he received in Detroit. Part of me wonders why people keep signing with Detroit with these stories out there? Is it the old adage that money talks? And Detroit likes to throw it around like a horny 21-year-old at a strip club?
Reading these type of stories as an NFC North fan are fucking great. It makes me feel good about all the moves the Packers have made thus far. And so happy that my team isn’t coached by a petulant child with a large beard. It is amazing to watch Patricia undo all the good the Lions had going for them in the last several years. He is 9-22 and finished last each year as a coach. Before those two years, the last time the Lions found themselves in 4th was 2012.
Keep doing you, Matty P.
Charlie.
