Milwaukee Is In The Regular Rotation For The NCAA Tournament
In 2020, Milwaukee was supposed to be the epicenter for a variety of big events. The biggest one was the Democratic National Convention. That didn’t happen obviously. NBA Finals might have taken place here too, but again, that didn’t happen either. Hell, Bucks didn’t even get there. Milwaukee is supposed to play host in late December for a holiday college hockey tournament, but that’s likely not happening or it is without fans. But at some point, things will be back to normal soon enough. And when they are, Milwaukee will host the NCAA Tournament in 2022 and 2025 for the first round games.
For those who haven’t gone to NCAA Tournament before, it’s a good time. My fiancee and I went the last time in the second round and it was a great time. It helped that the game was truly one of the best basketball games I’ve watched with Caleb Swangian going bucket-for-bucket with Milwaukee native Dionte Burton. Also, these are my two recommendations for the tournament. One, go to the second round games versus the first day of games. You don’t miss out on the other games that much and they’re better games. Second, find a way to sneak booze in. I believe we went with in the bra technique. But yes with an NCAA event, no booze is served. They’re assholes about that.
Good to see Milwaukee in the rotation, but it would be nice to see them get Sweet 16 or Elite Eight games moving forward.
