MVP on MVP Crime: Trout Robs Yelich
It is not every day that we post a video of the opposing team doing something to the Milwaukee Brewers that is cool. But it is not every day that Los Angeles outfielder and former American League MVP Mike Trout robs 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich of a home run. It was an awesome play that led Yelich to give Trout a hat tip and show a sign of respect for one of the best to play the game. The sign of respect the two had for each other was pretty cool. You know it’s there before and after the game starts but since both play in the outfield, you rarely see an in-game interaction.

After the game, Yelich said that he would try to repay the favor to Trout. This type of shit is great for baseball. It is too bad that this game is being played on National Championship Monday. I’m not saying the hype should be that significant, but a matchup like Trout versus Yelich should be on some sort of national provide to start the series. Since they’re not rivals, the storyline loses its punch if it’s Game 2 or Game 3. This should have led the highlight shows, but since everyone will be on Virginia, this will be nowhere to be found.
Way to go, baseball.
