Packers Free Agency Primer: Getting You Ready For Legal Tampering
Legal Tampering begins at 11:00 am CST today for the National Football League’s new year. What does that mean exactly? Well, teams can contact potential free agents at that time. They’re not allowed to sign them until 3:00 pm CST on Wednesday. We will hear about a lot of deals being done already in the next two days. There are some stories out currently that could influence what the Packers might do or not do when the legal tampering period rolls around. Let’s discuss and react.

Corey Littleton sounds like an interest to the Packers: Per Vic Tafur, it sounds like the Packers and Las Vegas Raiders are going to be all over Littleton. As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, the problem with Littleton is convincing him to play in Green Bay. He is West Coast throughout his whole career. If Vegas shows interest in him, he might choose them over the Packers.
This sounds like Austin Hooper selling himself to Green Bay. https://t.co/wmKkWTtwlF

Austin Hooper sounds like he wants to play for Green Bay: The comments made by Austin Hooper this weekend feel like someone that wants to play for Matt LaFleur and Green Bay. Hooper will have his options of destinations, but Green Bay seems to be a favorite of his. People shit on Hooper because he doesn’t have fantasy football stats. He improved year after the year, and the Packers offense would be better with him there. Delanie Walker, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, is another name to consider for this position.
Bryan Bulaga reunion is sounding less likely by the day: Indianapolis Colts paid Anthony Constanzo yesterday giving him two years, 33 million dollars. They’re about the same age, and I’d argue Bulaga is a better player. While Bulaga is solid for the Packers, he likely isn’t worth paying 18 to 20 million per year.
We’ll see what the legal tampering period brings for the Packers.
