Packers Receive Respectable Super Bowl 54 Odds
One of the things that people look to after the Super Bowl is the odds for next season’s Super Bowl. Some bet it as a strategy I’m sure. I am nowhere near that kind of degenerate to lay money down in February to only probably forget about the following February. There is so much unpredictably between free agency, suprise retirements and the NFL Draft. A lot can happen. Yet people still go crazy for them, and Green Bay finds themselves in a higher position than some of the 2018 playoff teams as they sit at +1600 for next season per The Action Network. Why so high after a mediocre year? It comes down to a few things.
One, the Packers are one of the most public teams in the country. Vegas will always set the Packers lines high or future odds carry more weight because Packers fans love to bet on their own team. This is likely the reason why Green Bay is sitting in the +2000 team. Instead, they’re at +1600 along with the little brother of Minnesota. Number two, Aaron Rodgers is pretty good at quarterback. Rodgers can make anyone a Super Bowl contender, and that probably factors into Vegas’ thinking. The third part is not entirely baked, but the schedule plays a bit of a factor with Green Bay getting two lesser opponents than their NFC North counterparts.
Packers have a long way to go towards the Super Bowl, but the sharps think there’s a legitimate chance of making it.
