People Fired Up For Pro Bowl Votes Crack Me Up
Sometimes, I start posts off and immediately feel like the asshole. That’s not a hot way to start a blog post, but hear me out for a little bit. Why do people care so much about the Pro Bowl and the voting process? Right now, Green Bay Packers are leading in Pro Bowl votes with five different players. That’s very cool for the players. It is an honor to be recognized for your ‘All-Star Game.’ But why does anyone want their guys in the Pro Bowl? If they’re playing Hawaii, that means they’re not in Miami for the Super Bowl.
From the #Packers: David Bakhtiari, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos, Mason Crosby and JK Scott all lead their respective position groups in NFC Pro Bowl voting so far.

If I do have a Pro Bowl quibble, why isn’t Za’Darius Smith on top of the leaderboard for EDGE rushers? But like I said, it is not something Packers fans should care about. Yeah, it would be cool to see the Packers represented, but you know what that means if they’re there? Another year where they’re missing from the Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl is the greatest participation game we have in our sports society. I’m not saying don’t vote for Packers, feel free, it’s a society. But I’m saying there’s no need to gas it up like it’s a big deal.
