Rich Paul’s Anthony Davis-Milwaukee Comments Mean Nohting
Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the NBA. He is one of the biggest headline players of the upcoming season with Davis being part of the Los Angeles Laker with LeBron James. Rich Paul, Anthony Davis’ agent, and LeBron James’ agent came out yesterday with comments about Davis. Paul said to ESPN that Davis would have won a title with Milwaukee if he was in the role of Giannis Antetokounmpo. That is a wild hypothetical for Paul but it’s not surprising as he tries to gas up his client. There is zero reason to get upset about this as Bucks fans.

Paul wants to build Davis’ brand heading into the season. People are out on AD, the person, right now. He worked his way out of New Orleans with one of the more immature, nonsensical things in sports. Davis got his way. Some people will want to see him fail. But Paul and to a lesser extent, LeBron, want to make Davis a complete superstar. Bill Simmons and my podcast partner Mitch Ross agree that LeBron will try to make Davis the MVP this season versus another MVP for King James. Therefore, Paul’s comments about Davis helping the Bucks should not shock anyone.
This only builds motivation for Antetokounmpo. Everyone told him this summer how great he was and how he had next. Los Angeles Lakers are trying to take that corner away from the Bucks with Davis while LeBron lurks in the background. This is the first somewhat negative said about Giannis by a prominent figure in the NBA for the last few months. Antetokounmpo will be ready for his MVP defense and trust me, this guy does not need much to get him motivated.
Bucks and Lakers will have their first matchup against each other on Thursday, December 19th. Trust me, Giannis will remember this when he takes on Davis.
