Ryan Braun Gives Joe West Hilarious High-Five
Ryan Braun is one of my favorite athletes of all-time. Seriously, he is. Some people still might not like him because of how he handled himself in 2011. Other people think he’s a douchebag. That’s mostly Cubs, Cardinals, Pirates and Reds fans. My favorite thing ever is when Braun gets booed mercifully as he does at Wrigley Field, he ends up having a big day. That’s what Braun does. He feeds off the boos. Braunie likes to have fun, too. After a lead-off triple in the second inning, Braun decided to give Cowboy Joe West a little high-five to celebrate the triple. It was unexpected and very funny.

Now, you cannot leave Joe West hanging so I get it from Braun’s perspective. I’m sure Cowboy Joe thought about tossing him out of the game. No one enjoys being the biggest star of the game than West. If Mike Trout was facing off against Bob Gibson in some alternate reality and West was umpiring, he would find a way to make it about him. In all seriousness, I’m glad West shrugged it off and let Braun have that one after a good display of base running.
