SnoTapWI Top Three: Best 2020 Packers September Games

September is one of my favorite months of the year. It is not too warm but not too cold. Football begins again in college and pro. This year, baseball will be getting ready for their second-to-final month. Ryder Cup will be here at the end of September. Who knows, maybe the NBA or NHL will be going on at this time? The next few months will be definitely different. Let’s look at the Green Bay Packers’ schedule and pick the games that will be the most intriguing to me, the Packers fan. This is not the ‘most important’ because who the hell knows what these teams look like when they kickoff?
1. New Orleans Week 3: Drew Brees versus Aaron Rodgers will always draw a crowd. No question about it. But these two have only played on classic during their time against each other. Brees has wiped the floor with Rodgers in his home stadium. The last time Packers won in New Orleans was 1995. The Taysom Hill storyline all week will likely drive me crazy, but other than that, these are two of the powerhouses of the NFC. It is also not bad to get Al and Cris.
2. Minnesota Week 1: Do you know this is the first time Minnesota and Green Bay played each other to start a season? Packers get fortunate to play Minnesota early in this season. They’re dealing with a brand new wide receiver crew and secondary. Also, they have a new offense with Gary Kubiak. You have to deal with Dalvin Cook’s fresh legs, but Aaron Jones is a good counter. I’d prefer to not start my season with a loss to the Vikings.
3. Detroit Week 2: Much will be made about the horrible officiating the last time the Lions came to town. Detroit always gives Green Bay a game, and Matthew Stafford will again try to prove he’s better than Rodgers. Stafford is a weirdo about his feelings on Rodgers. Lions are a total crapshoot to me. They signed a few guys, had a pretty good draft, but Matt Patrica is a total asshole. Jeffery Okudah going up against Davante Adams doesn’t feel like a good idea.
