SnotapWI’s Wisconsin Week Winner for Oct. Wk 1: Robert AKA Big Bob Tonyan
Sound the alarm for a new segment alert!!! Right now, we’re in a bit of a weird flux with Wisconsin sports. We only have the Green Bay Packers. Wisconsin Badgers do not get rolling until late October. And we have no idea when the Milwaukee Bucks will show their faces again. College hoops return in late November. Therefore, it is time for something new. This blog segment will be pretty simple to follow: Who won the week in the State of Wisconsin? It will mostly be sports, but there will be some that will be non-sports too. Let’s discuss the winner then the other nominees I thought about. This will come out Friday each week.
THE WINNER OF THE WEEK
Robert Tonyan is the clear-cut winner of the week. This is an easy one. Tonyan has become a household name in the state of Wisconsin with his dominating performance on Monday night. Tonyan caught eight passes for 98 yards and three touchdowns. The amount of Tonyan jersey orders probably went through the roof this week. It is awesome to see someone break out on a big stage like Monday Night Football. He was the thing to talk about on Monday, and that’s why I have to give it to him. Although nothing will be worse than hearing the ‘You know he’s friends with George Kittle story’ 20 fucking times.
OTHER NOMINEES CONSIDERED
Mayor Tom Barrett – After I wrote about my worries with Governor Tony Evers new policy on 25% indoor capacity, Barrett rebuked that idea and trusted the system that he put in place. For those that don’t know, most bars and restaurants go through an 80-point inspection to run at full steam. Kudos for Barrett for not being a doom and gloom and protecting small businesses.
Aaron Rodgers – This guy will have a few Wisconsin Week Winners under his belt when it’s all said and done. He dominated the Falcons without his two top receivers then got all in his bag talking to Pat McAfee delivering some A+ quotes.
Jaire Alexander – He still didn’t get enough credit for what he did against Calvin Ridley. We’ll see if Chris Godwin will be up next for him in Tampa. Doubt they’ll put the shorter Alexander on the taller Mike Evans.
Graham Mertz – This might be an asshole comment, but Mertz is going to get a shot in his redshirt freshman year. For those worrying about him transferring, that seems highly unlikely now.
COVID-19 – What an asshole this virus is, eh? It is all over Wisconsin. Be careful out there, make smart decisions. I don’t need to virtue signal and tell you to wear a mask because you’re already wearing one.
Feel free to send me Wisconsin Week Winners as the days, weeks go on.
