Texas Tech’s Kicker’s FG Attempt Makes Me Puke
This might be one of the worst field goal attempts you’ll ever see in any level of football. It comes from this afternoon’s TCU and Texas Tech barnburner where the ranked Horned Frogs led 10-3 at the time. Texas Tech’s kicker Clayton Hatfield steps up for what should be a pretty easy field goal, amid a difficult angle, and he completely shanked. Just horrible effort here from the kicker. I would probably turn my jersey in and retire the next day. Even if this would have only helped the Red Raiders inch closer, this is godawful.

This is a complete shank. Like not even close to being a field goal. I’m trying to sympathize and think how this actually happens to anyone in collegiate or pro football. Like high school, that shit happens. My lineman buddy Doz had to kick an extra point to win us a game, and it went in despite being the most ugly ball ever. If I were Hatfield, I probably say that I slipped, blame the long snapper or blame the holder. You have to make someone else responsible for your failures when it is this bad.
