The ‘Big Dog Audible’ Is Why We Love Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is the man. I don’t need to say that often, but in case you forgot. Rodgers had a good day on the football field with four touchdowns and 243 passing yards. But his favorite play of the game happened around the goal line for the final score of the game. Rodgers made an audible that could be heard on the broadcast saying ‘Big Dog!’ ‘Big Dog!’ I lept from my seat knowing that meant Packers’ tight end Marcedes Lewis would be getting the football. Sure enough, it happens and felt like a genius to my girlfriend.

Rodgers could not have been more hyped to get Lewis that touchdown. We knew that he wanted to get ‘Big Dog’ a score this year. And he did exactly that around the goal line. Rodgers spoke about Lewis’ leadership after the game and what he brought to the Packers roster. Rex Chapman’s weird Twitter account that I had to mute always says ‘This is the content I want to see.’ That’s how I feel about the Rodgers to Lewis connection on Sunday.
