The Challenge Power Rankings Week 4: The Rookies Are Here to Stay

For a show like The Challenge, we see different types of rookies all the time. Sometimes, those rookies are going to be into until the very end. Other times, rookies struggle to get their footing, and the veterans replace them quicker than Nany changes the boy she likes. It is a crapshoot. This year, the rookies have made statements through the first three weeks of the show. Jay sent home two people, one rookie, one all-time veteran in CT. Bayleigh and Swaggy C both won Challenges apart from each other. This rookie class is not here to mess around.
TOP CONTENDERS
1. Jordan (LW: 1)
2. Rogan (LW: 4)
3. Ashley (LW: 2)
4. Wes (LW: 5)
5. Jenny (LW 6)
Thoughts: The shocking loss of CT shakes up the top contenders. This is typical in the Challenge Power Rankings to lose out on top dog early on. So who takes CT spot? Right now, it is Jenny. She deserves to be considered among the best of the best. She is Laurel without being a headcase (At least for now). Ashley gets bumped down due to her mishandling of the Bananas situation. She could be the next top contender to go. Don’t be surprised if that happens.
CONTENDERS WITH A FLAW
6. Johnny Bananas (LW:7)
7. Tori (LW:8)
8. Cory (LW 9)
9. Nany (LW:10)
10. Fessy (LW 11)
11: Jay (LW: 20)
12. Jenna (LW 12)
13. Mattie (LW 13)
14. Kaliah (LW 16)
Thoughts: Jay makes a move towards the top of the list. After two elimination wins, he is likely not going in for some time. It would be bananaland to include him again. Kaliah moves up after she flexes her muscles on Nelson during elimination. Johnny Bananas continues to creep up. He needs to win a Challenge and start controlling the game before I put him into the top contenders.
COULD CONTEND IF THINGS GO PERFECTLY
15. Dee (LW 14)
16. Kyle (LW 15)
17. Bear (LW 18)
18. Swaggy C (LW: 21)
19. Kaycee (LW: 19)
20. Nelson (LW 15)
Thoughts: Nelson and Dee continue to move down the rankings. Nelson made himself vulnerable by blowing up for no reason. That put a target on his back like usual. Dee also has a target on her back after her makeout with Jay right in Rogan’s eyeball. Swaggy C continues his move up. If you’re curious why he’s higher than Bayleigh, I think the male group is weaker overall than the female group.
NOT A THREAT TO CONTEND
21. Bayleigh (LW: 24)
22. Josh (LW 22)
23. Aneesa (LW 23)
24. Melissa (LW: 19)
25. Big T (LW: 25)
Thoughts: Even though Melissa won a Challenge, I probably overreacted by bumping her up to 19. Besides Ashley potentially getting thrown in, I would not be surprised if Melissa or Big T are the ones that get sent home tonight. Both feel like options to go home. Again, why there are many females towards the bottom is due to the strong female cast.
