Brewers Step Up To the Plate to Support Miller Park Workers

Yesterday, the Milwaukee Brewers announced that many people in their organization will be supporting the Miller Park workers. Right now, those people are out of a job that never started this season. Miller Park is a place that is always on, and right now, the lights are dim and no one is there. While Miller Park’s employment can be a seasonal thing, it is a full-time job for others. Brewers stepped up in a major way contributing a large sum of money to the MIller Park fund. Bob Uecker and a host of players donated money on top of the one million dollar Miller Park fund already established.
Ryan Braun is donating $100K and Bob Uecker is adding $50K to the Brewers' $1M fund for Miller Park workers during the pandemic. Cain, Knebel, Lindblom, Suter and Yelich are also contributing for $300,000 in all, the Brewers say.

Let it be known that donating shaming is the dumbest thing you can do. People love to donate shame some of the richest people in the world without considering the many factors that go into donating large sums. I doubt anyone will shame those that donated from the Brewers. It is cool to ee a guy like Josh Lindblom who hasn’t been with the Brewers for more than two months get involved.
Braun being the leader of this continues to show how this guy loves the City of Milwaukee. Depending on what happens this year, Braun is retiring a Brewer. I don’t think he wants to play for anyone else. There is no doubt he should have his number retired at Miller Park plus a statue outside. The last part is a hard ask. But no player has done more on and off the field than Braun. He deserves all the credit that is due to him.
