Bucks Don’t Win Last Night Without Pat Connaughton
Milwaukee Bucks won Game 4 and made the series at 2-2. They dominated down the stretch. Milwaukee seemed to have no business winning this game. But that has been the story all playoffs long. The grittiness and toughness from the Bucks have been unmatched by anyone else in the league. Brooklyn hasn’t matched it. Atlanta didn’t either. Phoenix still hasn’t shown the same fortitude either. One guy who has been a big contributor for the Bucks is Pat Connaughton. He truly played great down the stretch. In the final quarter where Milwaukee came back, he scored eight points and five rebounds. I talked about this at the tail end of the podcast starting around the 20-minute mark.
Look I get the grittiness comment plus Connaughton is about as stereotypical caucasian basketball player as it gets, but he plays a role in that. He is a dog in his own right. Connaughton does a great job getting boards and making small plays for the Bucks. We all hated the contract from the Bucks this offseason, and the commentary was Giannis got his buddy paid. Well, this guy is playing a huge role in helping Milwaukee bring home a championship.
