Celebrate Ray Allen’s Birthday with his Best Bucks Highlights
Ray Allen turns 45 today. That is crazy to think about. This is more of a sign that I’m getting old. The other day I was thinking about how Lorenzo Cain and I are practically the same age. Cain might be a year older, but he is considered a veteran and in the twilight of his career. Allen is a player I grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s. He is arguably the best Bucks draft pick during that time. He was the leader of the Big 3 here in Milwaukee flanked by Big Dog Robinson and Sam Cassell. Enjoy watching Allen make it rain as a Bucks player.
We have talked before on whether the Bucks should retire Allen’s number. It is a tough call honestly. Allen had some great years with Milwaukee, but did he earn the distinction of having his number in the rafters? I’m unsure. Allen deserves praise from the organization, and if they have a ‘Wall of Fame’ ever, he should be included. Yet retiring his jersey seems a little bit over-the-top. If Allen played his entire career in Milwaukee, a case could be made for the sharpshooter getting his number retired.
