Former Badger Rashard Griffith Featured on Scott Van Pelt’s One Big Thing

ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt reshaped SportsCenter. For awhile, SportsCenter had become irrelevant due to a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons, there wasn’t an established name. Scott Van Pelt is there at the desk after all the big games and moments. Van Pelt’s show is the best late-night show out there. Better than Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert. SVP has great segments but his best one is likely One Big Thing about something special in sports or an editorial from Van Pelt on something going on in sports. Last night, Van Pelt featured former Wisconsin Badgers forward Rashard Griffith finishing his degree after 25 years and how Badgers assistant coach Howard Moore helped him finish.
"Reading about how the Badger Family supported this journey to a cap and gown was particularly special" @notthefakeSVP

This is very cool of Wisconsin to have his Senior Day moment. I hope that schools across the country are doing this for their athletes that come back to school if they left early to be a professional athlete. They deserve the moment as well. As Van Pelt’s video noted that Moore’s terrible accident affected Griffith yet the Badgers assistant told him to keep going and finish. He had a long career in Europe after getting drafted in the mid-’90s and played with Manu Ginobli.
