FOX’s MLB Twitter Account Insults Brewers Fans
I’ve seen a lot of bad brackets in my day. Brackets about sporting events. Brackets about Bachelor contestants. Anything that can be made bracket will turn into one around March Madness season. MLB on FOX is getting ahead of the game with their ‘best fans’ bracket. This is a complete and utter ploy by the MLB on FOX’s Twitter account. I give them credit. The social media strategy to get their engagement numbers up (Vanity metrics for those in the biz) is to create this bracket based on Twitter followers and no actual fucking research at all. I present to you the worst bracket of all-time. And yes, I could be biased because the Brewers are a six seed which is a joke.
Before the 2020 season begins, let's decide which team has the best fanbase in baseball!

This bracket is a hunk of garbage and I do not recommend anyone participating in this attempt for the social media marketing specialists to show their bosses how they got high engagement in the early months of February. Honestly in that region, the Brewers should have been the three or the two seed. What Milwaukee has done with their attendance is an underreported story nationally. You look at the Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Detroit Tigers, they’re all teams that have struggled with their attendance but they do have ‘online’ fans. More than the Brewers.
Here’s why that’s a problem, too. Sometimes, people follow teams they do not care about because they want to see news from that team for some reason, or they’re funny. Los Angeles Kings is the greatest example of this, but the Seattle Mariners are popular with team Twitter. To assume that every follower is a ‘fan’ of the team is fucking idiotic.
