Giannis & Bucks Made Milwaukee Proud This Weekend

Milwaukee Bucks did not have to set up a march on Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee Bucks did not have to show up unexpectedly to the protest march on Saturday. But they did both of those things. From all accounts, both things were beautiful. Bucks players showed up Saturday afternoon on 27th and Clybourn with food and drinks in the back of a U-Haul truck. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way but he had multiple Bucks players with him as well such as Brook Lopez, Donte DiVencenzo, and others. Sunday, Bucks started at the Fiserv Forum and finished at Veterans Park.
I’m proud of all the people who came out to support this movement for change with me, my teammates and my family! This is our city, these are our streets and this is bigger than basketball!

Actions speak louder than words. It is not a competition to see who does the right thing during these trouble times, but to see Giannis go out there and give a few words of why he’s there says it all. The dude embraced Milwaukee as his second home, and we have all hugged him right back. This only furthers the relationship with Giannis and Milwaukee. This means a lot of everyone in this city. Bucks went out of their way to participate all weekend and allowed people to join them as if they were all friends.
I know it’s not the time nor the place for this nugget of information, but so you know, Giannis isn’t leaving anytime soon.
Charlie.
