Howard & Happ Get All-American Honors
Markus Howard and Ethan Happ are great players on their own. Both players bring a unique style to the game of basketball, and they get their buckets in very different ways. For Howard, it is rising and firing from deep. For Happ, it is going down low in the paint and showing off an arsenal of post moves. The two could not be more different in the way they play the game of the basketball. But they do have a new thing in common, second-team All-American. A honor that both of them should feel very proud of with their season and university.

If you’re an All-American at Marquette or Wisconsin, you are in pretty rarefied air. It is not Duke or Kentucky where they have one each year. Howard becomes the fourth Marquette player to be an All-American while Happ is the sixth Wisconsin player to hold that crowd. Not surprising but Wisconsin’s All-Americans have all come in the last 20 years. Marquette saves their All-Americans for the truly special players in the university’s history. Not saying Wisconsin’s guys aren’t special, but to only have three other guys with you is a a sweet honor. Howard is undecided if he will go pro. If Howard stays, there will be a path for a first team All-American and potential National Player of the Year.
