Jordan Love Shows the Confidence of an NFL Starting Quarterback
Jordan Love met with the media yesterday. For a guy in Love’s spot, that could scary. He could stumble through his words like Gerrit Cole who totally, didn’t cheat you guys. But Love didn’t do that. Rather, he stepped up to the plate and gave every possible answer that you would want him to give. The one that is making the rounds is Love saying that if asked, he will start Game 1 for the Green Bay Packers. People are making a big deal out of this but I’m not sure why. The thing that people should take away from the Love presser is that he is confident as anyone on that roster.
Jordan Love on whether he’d be ready to start the season opener if needed: “100 percent.”
He added: "I’m going to take it day by day, but yeah, that’s what I’m here for, I was drafted here to play quarterback so I’ll definitely be ready to play Week 1.” https://t.co/TCL3iMAVhO

First of all, what is Love supposed to say, right? But the way he answered it with the vigor of knowing that he will be the starting quarterback for the Packers someday. It might not come this year. Or the year after that, but Love will get his moment in the sun. He had a good minicamp session as well. Which I’m not going to dive into because it’s players in shorts in June. We’re a long way away. But it is still nice to see Love doing well thus far. People should at least look at this answer and see a guy who can lead their franchise going forward.
