Martellus Bennett Continues On His Throne of Lies
After all of the bluster this week from Martellus Bennett of having a shoulder injury, he played in his first game as a New England Patriot on Sunday evening. Bennett had a couple catches including a big one for 27 yards. He explained after the game about how he ended up on the Patriots, and why he played tonight. What it sounded like was a guy who continued to build on his lies through the last two weeks and now will stick to this story for the rest of the season. It’s a shame he’ll be mentioned as a former Packer.
Bennett also said Brady texted him to try to convince him to suit up for the Patriots.
Bennett: “The group of guys and this team couldn’t be a better place for me for what I’m going through right now, all the familiar faces and friends. It’s been good to have those guys around.”

This whole thread is a pile of garbage. Bennett basically waited to see if the Patriots would call him. I don’t think New England cooked it up with him, rather, I think his agent and him did saying ‘Well we know New England likes us and Dwayne Allen hasn’t been very good, so maybe, we’ll inform the rest of the league that you’re going on IR’ Sure enough, they did, and all of the sudden, Bennett could do just enough to play through the pain. I’m sure he has some sort of shoulder issue, but it’s nowhere near what he’s trying to make it out to be right now. The guy is acting like some fucking hero.
Keep telling those lies, Marty B. Lies always come back to bite you.
