BREAKING: Mike Budenholzer is the new Bucks Coach
There were have it. Mike Budenholzer is the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. It feels good to have that officially on the books and done with after a few weeks of a coaching search. Budenholzer seemed to hold Milwaukee in high regard, and the team felt the same way. Bucks bring a coach in that has a ton of experience as an assistant and already shown he can be a successful head coach with a 60-win season under his belt. It’s going to be an exciting time to watch what a real coaching staff can do with this team.
Mike Budenholzer has reached an agreement to become the Milwaukee Bucks coach, league sources tell ESPN.

Reports came out this morning that Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Mike Budenholzer had breakfast together at an unknown location this morning. My guess is the deal was done, and this is the introduction for the two best players on the team. Giannis and Khris both have familiarity with him based off his experience as the Hawks head coach. I feel like this is a good way for all involved parties to meet and discuss the future of the team. Budenholzer did not have a talent like Giannis, and he could built Middleton to another level. Hopefully, the breakfast went well for both sides of the table.
Some people want to make a big deal out of Jabari Parker not getting a breakfast invite. I can go a few ways on this one. First, Bari seems to be traveling all over the place and not really locked down in Milwaukee. Second, he’s a restricted free agent. If the Bucks think there’s a chance he may not be there, why meet with the coach? Third, I do think Giannis and Khris are the clear leaders of this team. Without question, those are two guys that Bucks players look to when it comes to guidance.
Happy that this is over and the Bucks didn’t fuck it up.
