Milwaukee Radio Station Takes Break From Drake
There are countless examples of Bucks fever springing up all over the City of Milwaukee. I absolutely love it. Some people are doing it poorly like the lame ‘Buck up’ billboard I saw driving home from the podcast. Others did it in the perfect way such as KISS-FM who decided to ‘Take a Break from Drake.’ The popular Milwaukee radio station will not be playing any Drake music or any music that Drake is featured in for the entire Toronto-Milwaukee series. I absolutely love this move and give the station a lot of credit.
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Until the @Bucks beat the @Raptors – we are hereby taking a break from ALL #DRAKE music. We love us some Drake, but right now – we love the #Bucks more! #BreakFromDrake #FearTheDeer pic.twitter.com/kRAZQnGOWo

Now, the easy joke here would be ‘If there is no Drake on the radio, does that take away half the music?’ A fair question at certain points of the year, but this is not one of those times. Drake isn’t exactly hot right now. Looking at Spotify’s US Top 50, there is one song featuring the Toronto Raptors super fan on there right now. ‘Going Bad’ with Meek Mill. He isn’t making much music right now, therefore, a Top 40 station making this kind of move will not put a huge dent in their rotation. Now if Khalid was a Raptors fan, we may have an issue.
